Barbados Pride make opening day strides against T&T Red Force

A five wicket haul from Chaim Holder helped Barbados Pride to bowl Trinidad and Tobago Red Force out for 203 on day one of round four of the 2023 CWI four-day championship.

Red Force won the toss and decided to bat at Queens Park Oval, with Jason Mohammed top scoring on 55, Tion Webster adding 46 and 32 from Joshua da Silva.

Holder picked up five for 71 and Jair McAllister had three for 31, while there was one apiece for Roshon Primus and Jomel Warrican.

Pride then closed the day on 40 without loss, trailing by 163 runs.

Zachary McCaskie is on 21 and Sheyne Moseley 19.

Meanwhile over at the Brian Lara Academy, Leeward Islands Hurricanes decided to bat against the Windward Islands Volcanoes, and closed the day on 270 for six.

At Providence in Guyana, the Harpy Eagles were sent in to bat by Jamaica Scorpions and ended the day on 268 for nine.
