Barbados Pride take 1st innings lead over T&T Red Force

Half centuries from Zachary McCaskie and Roshon Primus along with two wickets from Akeem Jordan, have left Barbados Pride in a commanding position after day two of their round-four clash against hosts Trinidad and Tobago Red Force in the regional four-day championship.

Resuming the day on 40 without loss at the Queens Park Oval, Pride took first innings lead by 68 runs when they were bowled out for 271.

McCaskie had an impressive knock of 92 and Primus assisted with 53.

Jordan then took two quick wickets for just six runs, as Red Force closed the day on 31 for two in their 2nd innings, still trailing the Pride by 37 runs.

Meantime at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, bad light brought an early end to the day’s proceedings.

Leeward Islands Hurricanes had declared on 382 for nine against the Windward Islands Volcanoes, who then closed 206 for two in their reply.

At Providence in Guyana, the Harpy Eagles after resuming on 268 for nine were eventually dismissed for 278 by Jamaica Scorpions.

The Eagles then bowled the Scorpions out for 115, and then ended the day on 138 for four in their second innings.
