There were no records achieved overall, but Alleyne School was among the winners today as the Powerade/Dasani Water BSSAC Field Events Championships reached day number #2 at the Harrison College ground.
Shadon Prescod-Henry of Alleyne School won the Junior Boys Discus throw by registering 40.00 metres, while Romani Tudor also of Alleyne topped the entries in the Under-20 Boys Javelin with a best effort of 45.16 metres.
Asabi Callender of Christ Church Foundation won the Under-20 Girls Javelin, measuring 41.75 metres, and Tashawna Philips of St. George Secondary won the Under-17 Girls Shot Put with 10.88 metres.
In another result, Aaron Massiah of St. Michael School won the Under-17 Boys Long Jump with a leap of 6.63 metres.
CBC’s Damien Best was there for the finals of the Under-17 Girls Long Jump.
