Lodge repeat as BCA U19 champs

Milo Lodge have repeated as champions of the BCA Under-19 Schools Cricket tournament.

Yesterday at Briar Hall, they comfortably defeated Foundation by six wickets in the final.

In a match that was reduced to 37 overs per side due to a wet field, the Lodge bowled out Foundation for a below-par 99.

Meanwhile, the Lodge in reply didn’t have it all their way, as they slipped at one point to 57 for 4, but a 46-run unbroken 5th-wicket partnership between Brathwaite with 27 not out and Belle 20 not out saw them to 103 for the same 4 off 18.1 overs.

Gittens was the Player of the Match for his 3 for 12 which was followed up with a knock of 26 that included 4-fours.
