New partnership between local track and field entities

Two of the island’s major track and field entities are joining forces in a formal partnership for 2022 and beyond.

Organisers of the National Primary Schools Athletics Championship and the Barbados Secondary Schools Athletics Championships now have an arrangement that will see a greater level of cooperation among the members of each group across activities.

It was confirmed in a media release today, which also says it is anticipated that the partnership will lead to a streaming of events and the creation of the type of synergy that will result in a smoother transition for athletes from primary to secondary school competition.

Both NAPSAC and BSSAC say they are working diligently towards the goal of staging track and field competitions in an adapted form this year.

NAPSAC is also working to produce additional activities for its 20th anniversary celebrations.
