December 29th, 2021

Head Coach Floyd Reifer has praised his players for the way they bounced back against South Africa in the 2nd ODI of the Under 19 Cricket World Cup warm-up series yesterday at the Arnos Vale Ground in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Chasing just 104 for victory the Windies Under-19s reached the target in 23.2 overs.

They were led by opener Matthew Nandu who scored an unbeaten 42, inclusive of four 4’s and Captain Ackeem Auguste with 28 not out.

Teddy Bishop chipped in with 25.

Earlier sent into bat, South Africa Under-19’s were bowled out for just 103 in 31.3 overs.

Jaden Carmichael finished with figures of 3-25.

Reifer says the win will be a confidence booster ahead of tomorrow’s third match.
