Semifinal clashes in BCA T20 cup determined

It will be BWU Gladiola vs ESAF Pickwick and Wildey up against YMPC for the semifinal clashes of the 2023 BCA T20 cup.

Playing in the quarterfinals today, Gladiola beat UWI ‘B’ at Rices by 60 runs.

Sent into bat, Gladiola were dismissed for 161 off their twenty overs with Korie Miller taking four for 19.

However, UWI ‘B’ were penalised 24-runs for slow over rate, and were eventually bowled out for 101 off 14.5 overs in their reply.

Over at the Foursquare Oval, Pickwick defeated Empire by five wickets.

Invited to bat first, Empire scored 145 for seven off their allotted twenty overs, with Nathan Sealy knocking 76.

In reply, Pickwick rallied home on 146 for five in 18.4 overs.

At the SJPIT ground, Wildey were seven wicket winners over UWI ‘A’.

Batting first, UWI ‘A’ were bundled out for 120 off 19.2 overs as Jaden Leacock claimed four for 15.

In reply, Wildey rode on 51 from Carlos Brathwaite as they reached home on 124 for three.

At Lucas Street, YMPC went away with a 20-run win over Windward.

YMPC posted 154 for nine in their twenty overs with Chad Williams taking five for 23.

In reply, Windward were dismissed for 134 in 18.3 overs as Ramon Simmons took four for 16.

The venues for the semifinals are yet to be determined.
