Super50 Cup: West Indies Academy upset Jamaica Scorpions

The West Indies emerging players upset the Jamaica Scorpions by 12 runs in Saturday’s round of the CG Insurance regional Super50 Cup tournament at the North Sound Ground in Antigua.

Batting first West Indies Academy scored 182 in 44.5 overs with Kevin Wickham top-scoring with 46. Dennis Bulli picked up four for 32.

Joshua James and Ashmead Nedd both collected three wickets a piece to restrict the Jamaicans to just 170 in 39.5 overs.

Meanwhile in Trinidad, the home side, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, defeated the Windward Islands Volcanoes by seven wickets after reducing the Volcanoes to just 189 before scoring 195 for three, with Joshua DeSilva hitting 67.

And in today’s day-night fixture, the Combined Campuses and Colleges made 206 in their innings against the Guyana Jaguars.

Barbados will take on the Leewards on Sunday from 2pm.
