The Alleyne School has taken a step towards cutting its carbon footprint.
This morning a bio-digester was donated to the St. Andrew institution by representatives of the University of the West Indies.
Ph.D. student and Engineer Felicia Cox is associated with the project.
She says the methane gas that will be produced from the breakdown of the waste fed to the digester will benefit the school.
