The Barbados Agricultural Society has welcomed the announcement of special water rates for Barbadian farmers.
Effective midnight on May 1st, a new fixed water rate of $1.80 per cubic metre or 220 gallons will be implemented across the agricultural sector.
Chief Executive Officer James Paul is hopeful farmers will take advantage of the offer.
