The need for continuous funding for health care to ensure access for all has been underscored by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley.
At the same time, she has made a call for the urgent establishment of a Caribbean calorie counter to help Caribbean people be more aware of the number of calories they are consuming in their favourite, local foods on a daily basis.
The Prime Minister made the comments as she addressed the Pan American Health Organisation’s (PAHO) 120th anniversary cocktail reception at the Hilton Barbados in St. Michael on Sunday night.
