A cashless fare payment system is to be rolled out for the Transport Board in the coming months.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Works and Water Resources, Santia Bradshaw is hopeful it can be in place by January.

The system is among a number of initiatives to come on stream.

Minister Bradshaw provided further insight as the Barbados Transport Board joined worshippers during Sunday Service at the Church of the Nazarene Collymore Rock, to mark the entity’s 67th anniversary.

Ms Bradshaw extended thanks to the staff of the Transport Board noting it has not been an easy road over the past 67 years.

During that time, she says, the Transport Board has also transitioned.
