Centenarian celebrated

Kathleen Victoria Lloyd turned 100 years old yesterday, becoming one of Barbados’ latest centenarians.

She was the toast of the day as family and well wishers celebrated her life and contributions to family and the community.

She was also paid a visit by President the Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason and MP for St. Michael South Central, Marsha Caddle.

Caretaker, Samantha Codrington and Karen Wall, Ms. Lloyd’s lone granddaughter have learnt a lot from the centenarian.

They enjoy their interactions with Ms. Lloyd.

MP for St. Michael South Central, Marsha Caddle was moved by the relationship between Ms. Lloyd and her caretaker, noting such inter-generational linkages are important.
