The Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB) is calling for the uncertainty and confusion surrounding pension and retirement ages to be clarified.
President Edwin O’Neal says there’s an increasing number of people retiring at 65 instead of 67.
However, he says the decision to leave the workforce two years early means they get a reduced pension.
He made the point during the group’s annual end of year press conference.
