Police and firefighters are on the scene at 3rd Avenue Belleville, St Michael where there has been a fire in the building which houses the Pine Dispensary Inc.
Police received the report about 5 am today, Friday 1 October 2021, and quickly responded. On arrival, they met a team of 18 firemen and four tenders under the charge of Station Commander Mayers.
The blaze was brought under control about 6:30 am and a thorough search of the building is currently being made by fire personnel.
There are no reported injuries and the fire and water damage has been restricted to the western side of the property.
The roadway has been restricted to one lane as emergency vehicles are parked along the main carriageway.
Investigations are ongoing.
