A number of Kiwanis Clubs including one at the primary level and an accounting organisation got together to donate supplies to the Geriatric Hospital.
The gifts included wheelchairs and a lot of other much-needed supplies for the residents of the Beckles Road Institution.
Accepting on behalf of the hospital was Senior Sister Shiela Sealey who thanked them for the gesture.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) which was among the donors, thanked the private sector members who contribute annually.
Lisa Padmore Interim Executive Director says the donations are a clear sign the little ones understand financial literacy and they want to partner with clubs to train in this area.
