Barbados doesn’t want the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference or COP28, to be just a talk shop.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley shared the view as she zeroed in on previous commitments and lack of action.
She also stressed that short-term debt won’t cut it for countries on the front line of the climate crisis.
The Barbadian Leader was among the panel for a recent discussion hosted by the Global Clinton Initiative on Funding Earth’s Future: How to Scale Finance in Frontline Communities.
Ms. Mottley added a way must be found to finance countries to net zero.
