Meth warning

A stern warning has been issued to the country’s youth about the dangers and consequences of the illegal drug methamphetamine, commonly called meth.

This from Home Affairs Minister Wilfred Abrahams, who says the presence of the illegal drug has been confirmed in Barbados.

The warning came as a press briefing was held this morning, where the Minister was joined by officials from the Forensic Science Centre, the National Council on Substance Abuse and the Barbados Police Service to issue a drug alert to Barbados.

Minister Abrahams said this a serious development for the country, and also asked for the cooperation of all Barbadians in stamping out the use of meth.
