PCR testing time frame of 3 days remains in place

December 23rd, 2021

The Government Information Service has issued a correction to information sent out yesterday, suggesting there was a change in the island’s travel protocols.

The GIS says the time frame of three (3) days for PCR tests remains in place, and not four (4) as was stated in its release yesterday.

The GIS adds that the clarification is coming from the Ministry of Health and Wellness, which noted that inbound travellers are still required to have their COVID-19 PCR tests done no more than three days prior to travel.

The Ministry also reminds travellers that tests must be done either via a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab and all protocols remain in place.
