Scores of local egg and poultry producers took the opportunity today to find ways to enhance their operations, through coaching by a team of leading regional poultry experts.
Representatives from several farms turned out in their numbers, this morning at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, for the Optimum Poultry Performance Seminar.
It was organised by Pinnacle Feeds in conjunction with the Barbados Agricultural Society (BAS).
Topics explored included poultry nutrition, poultry diseases in the Caribbean and free range chicken.
The session was originally geared towards 80 people but ended up attracting well over 100.
Pinnacle Feeds’ Senior Manager Adrian Yarde says the opportunity came about through the company’s unique position.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of the BAS, James Paul, believes the seminar is the latest attempt in advancing the sector and fostering deeper collaborations between stakeholders.
