The President of Barbados, Her Excellency the Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason, is on duty leave.
In a BGIS release, it was noted she will be overseas from May 2 to 11.
In the interim, the Very Reverend Dr. Jeffrey Gibson will perform the functions of the Office of President.
