November 4, 2023

The Salvation Army has been saluted as one of the most consequential civil organisations working in the City of Bridgetown and the country.

The assertion from Member of Parliament for the City Corey Lane as he addressed the launch of the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Kettle and Letter Appeal.

He stressed that the organisation is about much more than its well known feeding programme.

He added that it is also an ideal partner for donors seeking to contribute to a reputable charity.

Scotiabank’s Manager for Premium Relationship Banking Carla Boyce says the Bank is more than happy to be onboard with the kettle drive for another year, while Chairman of the Advisory Committee Paul Bernstein thanked the sponsors and said that theme this year is ‘Spread Joy’.

He noted that the kettle appeal provides more than half the annual income for its much-needed programmes.

The Army treated those in attendance to renditions from the Police Service Band and the sponsors took time to pose with the kettle.
