The Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) is cracking down on illegal dumpers and stepping up efforts to clear illegal dump sites across the country.
To this end and although today is a Bank Holiday, a team from the SSA which included Public Relations Officer Carl Padmore, was in Christ Church this morning clearing one such site.
Over the course of several hours, they removed several bulk waste items such as galvanise and stoves.
Noting similar incidents occur across the country, Mr Padmore is appealing to residents in affected areas to reach out and inform the authorities of the situation.
