An unnatural death investigation has been launched following the discovery of the body of an elderly woman at her residence at Church Street, Speightstown, St. Peter.
The deceased has been identified as 86 year old Gloria Eudora Leacock.
Police say they received a report that friends and family members were trying unsuccessfully to contact her throughout this morning.
Personnel from the District E Station were summoned to her residence, where the discovery was made about 10:10 a.m.
The body was identified by a close family member at the scene.
