For the sixteenth consecutive year, Sagicor General Insurance Incorporated has retained its A.M. Best financial strength A- rating.
In a recent release, the statistical rating organisation, A.M. Best, outlined the basis for the affirmed financial rating and a second long-term issuer credit rating of "A-".
It added that the ratings reflect Sagicor General's balance sheet strength, which A.M. Best categorizes as strongest, as well as its adequate operating performance, neutral business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management.
Meanwhile, chief executive officer of Sagicor General, Keston Howell has expressed his satisfaction with the rating.
He says it demonstrates the level of financial prudence and risk management that the company continues to apply to its operations.
Mr. Howell adds that it is especially noteworthy that A.M. Best gave a stable outlook for the positive ratings in the intermediate term.
