The International Monetary Fund is predicting Barbados economy will record negative growth this year.
The April 2019 edition of World Economic Outlook released by the International Monetary Fund places growth at -0.1 percent.
Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados Cleviston Haynes earlier in the year forecast that economic growth for 2019 would be flat.
The situation for Barbados come 2020 is however expected to improve as 0.6 percent growth is predicted.
The World Economic Outlook expects Barbados economy in 2024 to record 1.8 percent growth.
