JP, age 94, of “Beechwood” Lower Carlton, St. James, Husband of the late Ena Welch, Father of Reginald and Pearl Welch, Marjorie Hamblin, Beaulah Payne, Wendy Larrier, Vermel Layne, Diana Tasker, Avonda Gibbons, Hartley Cummins and the late Carol Welch, Grandfather of Roger Welch-Payne, Kevin, Corey, Lisa and Carol Ann Welch, Khadija Bourne, Kurt, Keisha and Kim Hamblin, Kelah McConaghy, Tarrah Larrier, Mervyn Larrier Jr., Cindi Goodridge, Bertrand Griffith, Chynna and Chad Glasgow, Great grandfather fourteen, Brother of Hugh Worrell, Cecile Scantlebury and the late Phillipa Bullen, Uncle of Lorraine Reid, Diana Worrell, Maureen and Joan Scantlebury, Father-in-law of Eleanor and Wyneth Welch, Roger Payne, Mervyn Larrier Sr. and Ken Hamblin, Brother-in-law of Elise Went-Worrell, Eleanor, Hallam and Clarence Clarke, Relative of the Hall, Whittington, DePeiza and Baird families, Friend of Wilton Drakes and many others.


The funeral of Charles Elgerton DaCosta Welch Esq. JP leaves St. John Funeral Home, Half Moon Fort, St. Lucy on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. for St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Lower Carlton, St. James where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 11:00 a.m. for the Service of Thanksgiving. The cortege will then proceed to St. James Cemetery for the interment.

The Organist and members of the Church Choir are asked to attend.

Wreaths may be delivered to St. John Funeral Home not later than 8:45 a.m. on Saturday.

The body will repose for viewing in the Chapel of St. John Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12th, 2018.
