Sagicor UWI have won it again, while E.S.A Field Pickwick are being relegated again.
All of this happened Sunday on the third and final day of the 9th and final series of the BCA Elite Division.
Spurred by a fine all-round performance from veteran Ryan Hinds, UWI completed the defence of the title with a crushing innings and 75 run victory over Crane Resort St. Catherine at 3W's Oval Sunday evening.
Faced with a first innings deficit of 144 after UWI carried their overnight score from 210 for eight to 249 for nine declared, St. Catherine, who were last year's champions, crumbled for 69 in 22.1 overs.
They were undermined by left-arm spinner Hinds, who grabbed six for 14.
Hinds was supported by off-spinner Larry Joseph, who picked up four for 30 to end with match figures of ten for 87.
Scores in the game, St Catherine 105-9 declared and 69 UWI 249-9.
UWI finished on 114 points - 17 more than the only other pre-series title contenders ICBL Empire who were beaten by five wickets by Massy United Insurance Wildey on neutral turf at Bayfield.
It was the sixth three-day title for UWI since they were elevated to the top league in 2006.
The others were in 2009, 2010 - shared with Spartan, 2011, 2012 and 2015.
The focus was also at the Trents ground with home side Home Improvement & Hardware Supplies Maple and ESA Field Pickwick both battling to avoid relegation.
As it turned out, Pickwick lost by 86 runs and thus will be demoted to the first division for the second time in three seasons.
Gladiola will replace Pickwick in the elite division, after they won the first division title with 111 points.
