Barbados stands to benefit from the significant marketing budget offered through the Hilton brand.
This after it was revealed that the American brand bought the timeshare section of the Crane Resort for 54 million US dollars.
The Crane Resort has announced a multi-million dollar deal with Hilton Grand Vacations Club that is expected to pump a significant amount of money into the economy.
Owner, Paul Doyle says the American brand has bought the timeshare part of the hotel which now guarantees year round occupancy, particularly from the US East Coast.
He told a press conference at Government Headquarters the sale is valued at 54 million US dollars and the new properties will be called Hilton Grand Vacations at the Crane.
Mr Doyle explains the Crane will operate the timeshares but will adhere to the Hilton brand standards, noting that several managers have already been trained in those protocols.
Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley says that marketing will give Barbados a tremendous boost in the U.S, which has not been as strong as other tourism source markets.
