Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley will participate in a high level conference on disasters and climate change, in the coming days.
The joint International Monetary Fund, World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank's high-level conference on: 'Building Resilience to Disasters and Climate Change in the Caribbean', in Washington DC is one of two overseas engagements the Barbadian leader will participate in.
It aims to bring together key stakeholders, including senior policymakers, donors, and multilateral development partners, to explore options for supporting countries in their efforts to build resilience and to create innovative disaster risk financing policies.
Ms Mottley will also deliver the feature address Friday at the annual dinner and awards presentation of the Queen's Park Cricket Club in Trinidad and Tobago.
She will also present the sportsperson of the year award.
Former Prime Minister Owen Arthur and former outstanding cricketer, Sir Wes Hall, were some of the past featured speakers at the dinner.
