The new minister for elder affairs, Cynthia Forde has high praise for home help workers.
This as she delivered the feature address at a Church Service over the weekend to celebrate the National Assistance Board's 38th anniversary.
Ms Forde says the home helpers are the front line workers and are valuable assets to the organization.
Ms Forde says she's also looking forward to setting up programmes to help men.
She says with the number now standing at almost five hundred, men make up most of the homeless people on the streets.
