18 Jan

Minister Edmund Hinkson has been relieved of some of his duties.

The Home Affairs Minister now no longer has oversight of the Royal Barbados Police Force.

Those duties, as well as responsibilities for the Preservation of Public Order, the Forensic Services Centre, Police Complaints Authority and the Criminal Justice Research Unit will now fall under the portfolio of Attorney General, Dale Marshall.

The announcement was made in a release from the Government Information Service last night.
