Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley says the Caribbean region is already feeling the effects of instability in Venezuela.
That's why she is adamant that the region must remain a zone of peace.
Speaking from Washington, Ms. Mottley made the point was made clear to the international community that any form of instability would significantly destabilize the regon's economic and social circumstances.
Barbados joined other Caricom States and the governments of Uruguay and Mexico last week to address the unrest in Venezuela and Prime Minister Mottley says the Caribbean is already feeling the effects.
While it has not yet reached Barbadian shores, Prime Minister Mottley says the situation is becoming grave.
