Barbados will be moving to implement more legislation to tackle transnational organised crime.

Permanent secretary in the office of the Attorney General, Yvette Goddard, says the new laws, when combined with existing ones, would boost the island's defense.

She was speaking at the opening of the Mutual Legal Assistance Workshop at the Courtyard by Marriott.

Director and founder of International Justice, Daniel Duter, says the sessions will help to strengthen the regional and global anti-crime fight.
