The newly appointed board of the Broadcasting Authority will announce next month if or what new licenses will be issued.
Chairman Dr. Allyson Leacock says that matter and others are currently occupying the attention of the board.
She was speaking just before a tour of the CBC with several board members Tuesday afternoon.
Dr. Leacock adds that convergence, which is the integration of media and telecommunication services, is the biggest challenge the authority has to address.
According to her, it changes the dynamics involved.
Dr. Leacock says the board intends to tour all the media houses and subsequently meet with each one to listen to their concerns and give them an opportunity to hear from the Authority.
