Kevin Stoute had a five-wicket haul as the Barbados Pride got off to a promising start on day one of in their 5th round Windies 4-day championship match against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.

In the day/ night fixture at the Brian Lara cricket academy, the Red Force who won the toss, were dismissed for 170.

Stoute had bagged 6 for 35 and pacer Marquino Mindley, 2 for 34. Play resumes on day two with the Pride on 52 for 3.

At the crease are captain Jonathan Carter on 13 and Nicholas Kirton on six.

Odean Smith has so far taken 2 for 6.

At Guyana national stadium: Guyana Jaguars were dismissed for 196 with Christopher Barnwell top-scoring with 58 and Rahkeem Cornwall taking 4 for 70.

The Leewards Hurricanes in their first innings are 57 for 3.

At the national cricket stadium in Grenada, the Windward Volcanoes are 263 for 6 with Devon Smith smashing 124 inclusive of 16-fours.
