The St. Michael School Cougars has sent an early message all other competitors after day one of competition in the SOL Frank Blackman zone of the Powerade BSSAC meet at the national stadium on Tuesday.
The girls will enter day two on 218.50 points to lead rivals Springer Memorial on 193.50 points.
Queen's College is in third with 173, closely followed by Combermere on 171.50 and the Lodge school is a distant fifth on 88.
In the boys’ competition, the Combermere School are currently the leaders on 140.50 points, less than two points ahead of second place queen's college on 138.
The St. Michael School is third on 132.5; the St. Leonard’s boys are fourth on 130 and the Lodge school, fifth with 122.50 points.
