For the first time, students of the American University of Barbados (AUB) will be undergoing clinical rotations at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

Chief Executive Officer of the AUB, Dr Anita Bhat, made the announcement as some of the students delivered donations to patients at the QEH.

She said this has been the dream of the university since it was established in Barbados almost 13 years ago.

QEH Head of Medical Services, Dr Carlos Chase, said the AUB interns started two months ago and that the hospital is now accepting medical students.

You will hear more from the QEH during its one-hour Pulse radio show, which returns to Q100.7 FM for its fifth season from tomorrow, starting at 11 a.m.
