There has been an overwhelming response to sign language courses being offered by the National Disabilities Unit. Over 120 people have already registered.
Director John Hollingsworth, is pleased Barbadians are keen on learning the language and helping his Unit’s continued efforts at promoting inclusion for persons with disabilities.
The National Disabilities Unit is now searching for additional venues to conduct the courses, which will start next month and be done at the Basic 1, 2 and Intermediate levels.
The sign language programme will run from September 16 to December 5.
