The West Indies headline Group ‘C’ of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, joining England, Bangladesh, Nepal and Italy, as the tournament schedule, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, was officially unveiled in Mumbai.
Of note, India has been drawn with arch-rival Pakistan in Group ‘A’, setting up a blockbuster clash on February 15th.
Sri Lanka joins Group ‘B’ with Australia and Ireland, while New Zealand tops Group ‘D’ alongside Afghanistan and South Africa.
The World Cup runs from February 7th to March 8th, with the final in Ahmedabad or Colombo.
Semi-finals are scheduled for Kolkata or Colombo on March 4th and Mumbai on March 5th, with Pakistan’s knockout matches shifted to Colombo if they advance.
A total of 20 teams will compete, following the same group-to-Super-Eight format as 2024.
Matches will be played across Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and in Sri Lanka at Colombo and Kandy.
There will be three fixtures played daily during the opening phase.
India begin their title defence against the USA in Mumbai on February 7th, while the West Indies face Bangladesh in Group ‘C’ on the same day.
