Affordable housing concerns raised during Parliamentary Budget Debate

Housing came under the microscope as debate on the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure 2026/2027 continued in Parliament.

Concerns were raised that affordable housing in Barbados is no longer truly affordable.

Attorney General Wilfred Abrahams questioned whether low-income Barbadians can genuinely access homes, given the rising costs of construction.
