Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has pledged support to help Jamaica build back bigger.
The hurricane-ravaged island is set to receive a field hospital from Barbados today, to support the country’s medical needs, as part of the Hurricane Melissa recovery efforts.
Prime Minister Mottley made the disclosure yesterday while speaking to the media in Westmoreland, following a tour by a group of CARICOM leaders, led by Prime Minister of Jamaica and CARICOM Chairman, Dr. Andrew Holness.
The group visited the areas hardest hit by the Category 5 hurricane last month.
Prime Minister Mottley also pledged to assist with additional equipment in the form of garbage compactor trucks.
