Twenty athletes will depart the island this week to compete at the 2025 CARIFTA Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Barbados squad, fresh off their final week of intense preparation, features gymnasts ranging in age from eight to sixteen.
The competition, now set for Friday through Sunday, represents a shift from the original April 2025 schedule after organisers opted to move the event to the end of the year.
Barbados’ head coach, Allison Jackson, told CBC Sports that despite the revised schedule, the team remains fully prepared and eager to perform.
The Barbados team is set to leave the island on Thursday.
