The Barbados Fire Service is embracing the youth as it promotes fire safety.
Acting Chief Fire Officer, Henderson Patrick, welcomed the participation of schools in its Primary School Quiz Competition, which got underway on Thursday.
The competition forms part of activities to commemorate its 70th anniversary.
It was a battle between Hilda Skeene Primary, Arthur Smith Primary and Luther Thorne Primary.
Another preliminary round takes place today, while the semi-finals will take place next Tuesday (May 20th) and the finals on Monday, May 26th.
In a pep talk, Mr. Patrick reminded the primary school students that they are tomorrow’s future and education is not linear.
