There’s a call for a flexible and early retirement framework for members of the Barbados Police Service, Barbados Prison Service and nurses in the public health care system.
The call is coming from the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados, which says it recently submitted a policy position to the Ministry of Public Service on the issue.
The proposal has been advanced in recognition of the unique and demanding nature of these professions.
CTUSAB President Ryan Phillips made the announcement at a press conference.
