The Chinese Embassy has donated more than $130,000 in medical supplies to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Chargé d’Affaires Huang Xinhua says the vital injection of much-needed supplies will enhance the hospital’s medical capacity and directly benefit the people of Barbados.
He spoke about the donation during a hand-over ceremony held at the Martindale Road, St Michael institution.
Acting Minister of Health, Davidson Ishmael, says the donation being made on May 30th signifies the date Barbados and China formalised their diplomatic relationship in 1977.
