Government is set to introduce a new podiatry programme to assist diabetic patients on the island.
Word of this from Chief Medical Officer, Dr. The Most Honourable Kenneth George.
Additionally, Dr. George is urging diabetic patients to examine their feet.
He says in some cases diabetic patients also have neuropathy, which is altered nerve sensation.
