Former hockey and cricket administrator Monica Cumberbatch is the recipient of the 2026 Esther Maynard Icon Award.
The Barbados Olympic Association’s Gender Equality Commission staged its annual ceremony last night at the BOA Headquarters in Wildey.
Three women were finalists for the award, which recognises significant leadership contributions to sport in Barbados.
Joining Cumberbatch were Annette Beckett, a former president of the Barbados Netball Association, and Roxanne Forte, second vice president of the Barbados Volleyball Association.
