Over the past weekend, the Barbados Game Fishing Association held its first tournament of their calendar year – the Brian Manning Billfishing Tournament off the west coast.
And when all anchors were dropped, the top three anglers were Noah White in third, Bradley Howell, who caught three sailfish, in second, and the winner was Allick Nendeze with a sail and billfish.
Among the overall crews, last year’s reigning champions Carib Girls were third, with the Legacy crew in second, while the winners of the 2025 tournament were the three-man crew of Wicked Tuna.
Chief Fisheries Officer Dr. Shelly-Ann Cox says the tournament serves as a reminder that the island’s fishing industry is still very much thriving.
The next game fishing tournament is the Lawarence Worrell Memorial Wahoo Shoot Out Series on December 6th, with the second round slated for February 15th 2026.
