Government has committed to rolling out a new initiative called “Access for All”, aimed at ensuring people with disabilities can access all buildings.
The announcement came from Adrian Forde, Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, during the opening of the new headquarters of the Autism Association of Barbados at the Garrison, St. Michael.
The development follows the observance of World Autism Day yesterday, under the theme “Autism and Humanity, Because Every Life Has Value”.
Minister Forde also indicated that funding will be allocated to the Sidewalk Access Project.
